YUN LAI VIEWPOINT: THE EXPERIENCE
As told by Zade Grilloni
Yun Lai Viewpoint gives you a beautiful 360 view of Pai along with its big surrounding mountains. Situated on a big hilltop just after the Yunnan Chinese Village, it’s just a short 20-minute drive from Pai. The owner has made this quite a popular destination to get some pretty amazing photos and sip on some free Chinese tea with his chickens and jungle cats. He even got a little crafty and created a big LOVE tree where you could purchase a porcelain heart for you to sign and hang up on the tree.
One thing about Pai, it’s just so peaceful. It felt like the Nimbin of Byron Bay, totally chilled vibes. Sitting up at Yun Lai just basking in the Thai beauty was so relaxing. We visited Yun Lai in the middle of the day but we’ve also heard it’s a real beauty for panoramic views of the sunrise/sunset. Definitely one to check out if you head to Pai!
