Located just 10 minutes from the heart of Romblon island, there’s lies a hidden gem called Talipasak Beach. Also known as San Pedro Beach as its accessible via San Pedro Beach Resort. On arrival you’ll enter a long steep drive way down to the beach resort.
When we went, it was national teachers day so we basically arrived to a bunch of cute, drunken teachers singing their hearts out on the karaoke machine. We assumed it was a private function but no the beach was still open to guests! You’ll find this a lot in the Philippines, they absolutely love karaoke! Any event, occasion or gathering of people expect to hear a Filipino version of “i have nothing” Whitney Huston song.
Beautiful, jungle like surroundings and crystal clear water. Talipasak has all the right ingredients to make a perfect beach day. You can also purchase food and drinks from the cafe in the resort. There’s benches, tables and our favourite… hammocks!!
We thought we could share the hammock and have a nap, until it suddenly snapped and dropped us straight on our backs! Luckily all the locals were too busy singing karaoke they didn’t notice a couple of silly foreigners that had broken one of their hammocks! And that was our cue to leave…
As much as we LOVED BonBon Beach back down the road which doesnt have an entry cost – with beautiful destinations, come lots of tourists! If you’re after a low key relaxing spot, Talipasak Beach is totally worth it. After all, its less than $2.00 Australian! Crazy right?
